True Stewardship™ | Discovery
Our role as stewards begins with a comprehensive discovery meeting that generally includes spouses and sometimes family and extended family members.
Most people are busy living their lives with little time to consider their broader life objectives and their impact on financial well being. Because of this we ask a wide range of questions about life priorities and aspirations. Out of that discussion, a set of financial principles and life goals emerge.
We break the discovery process into two parts: asset management and asset structure.
Asset Management considers:
- Investment policy and suitability
- Return, risk and cash flow efficiency
- Strategic asset allocation
- Portfolio manager performance, fees and suitabability
- Concentration strategies
- Assessment and analysis of alternative investment planning strategies
Asset Structure considers:
- Fiduciary responsibilities
- Net worth efficiency
- Wealth protection and transfer
- Philanthropy
- Asset specific analysis and planning
- Estate planning
The discovery leads to a specific written Investment Policy Statement tailored to your individual financial circumstances, and presented in a suitable report form for presentation and discussion purposes.
